El Gouna is a piece of artificial paradise created by architects and builders right in the desert on the Red Sea. The city is located 25 kilometers north of Hurghada and is built in a single architectural style –
Mediterranean with oriental motifs. Even the colors of the buildings here are designed in sandy-mustard tones.
Local millionaire Sami Sawiris made his dream come true: he realized the Venice project in Egypt. It would seem absolutely incredible. But today everyone can see it with their own eyes.
El Gouna consists of more than 20 islands. In addition, there are plenty of private islands with villas. Almost all of them are connected to land by bridges. Some can only be reached by boat. During the construction of the resort, kilo meters of canals were dug through which sea water flows.
